In search of three more points at home
This Saturday, starting at 9pm, we will play against Mallorca at the Cívitas Metropolitano, a match corresponding to the 14th LaLiga matchday.
After the third international break so far this season, Simeone's men will host Mallorca this Saturday 25 November at 9pm. After the last win in our stadium against Villareal (3-1), our men are looking to extend the longest consecutive home winning streak in the history of the club, with a total of 15 consecutive victories so far.
Our team will try to get three new points to consolidate our position at the top of the league standings. We are currently in fourth place with 28 points, two behind FC Barcelona (with a game in hand) and four ahead of Athletic Club (who have also played a game more).
We face the team coached by Javier Aguirre, who was our coach between 2006 and 2009. Mallorca is looking for their second win of the season in LaLiga, following their 1-0 win over Celta Vigo on matchday 5. The head-to-head record against RCD Mallorca is 25 wins, 14 draws and 17 defeats in the 56 meetings between the two sides to date.
Lastly, the closest precedent against Mallorca took place during the 22/23 season. On that occasion our team won (3-1) on matchday 31, with goals from De Paul, Morata and Carrasco.
