Regarding Wednesday's fixture against Bayer Leverkusen, Tiago said that “after waiting for some months for the Champions matched, we know how important they are. Last season we played a great Champions and this year we also want to play well and it starts in Leverkusen by playing a good match. There are no easy games anymore. I'm sure we're going to suffer but hopefully, we can advance to the next round.”

As to how the team reaches this game against Bayer, he said, “We've had time to prepare this important phase of the competition. All the players are in top shape. I see the group strong and prepared. In football, results rule and hopefully we can show with results that we are all well.”

He didn't want to make any player of the rival stand out, because for the Portuguese, “teams are always the most important thing. We have to be careful on set pieces because we know they have a very qualified player in this aspect. They attack with a lot of men and they're very dangerous. Something strange happened in the last match. We have to face a dangerous and difficult rival and we have to try to get a good result in Leverkusen."
