Héctor Herrera: “I’m very happy to have joined a historic club”
The Mexican’s presentation was hosted at our stadium’s Auditorium. Our new player was welcomed by club president Enrique Cerezo.
Héctor Herrera was unveiled as a new Atlético de Madrid player at the Wanda Metropolitano Auditorium on Friday. He was accompanied by club president Enrique Cerezo, sporting director Andrea Berta and legends Mendonça, ‘Alvarito’ and Miguel Ángel Ruiz, as well as members of the player's family.
Enrique Cerezo welcomed the midfielder to kick off the event.
“Héctor, we’re very happy about your arrival. We know how ambitious you are in this new step of your professional career. We’re sure you’ll succeed, because you’ve always known that anything can be achieved with hard work, effort and sacrifices,” our president said.
Héctor Herrera said he was delighted to have joined our club.
“I’m very happy to have joined a historic club like Atlético de Madrid. The first moments with my teammates and staff have been very positive. That’s very important in order to feel at home,” the Mexican said.
At the end of the event, the midfielder was presented with his new number 16 shirt.
