Hard-earned draw at the Wanda Metropolitano
Borja Garcés scored the goal in his official debut for our club.
The game started off intensely and both teams disputed possession. However, we had the best chances of the first 45 minutes. Antoine Griezmann nearly scored in the 14th minute, but his shot was save by Eibar’s goalkeeper. Later, Saúl, Lemar and Godín tried his luck, but Celta goalkeeper made good saves.
In order to turn out the match around, Simeone introduced Correa and Borja G. to the field. It was Borja's official debut for our club.
In the 87th minute Eibar took advantage but a few minutes later, Borja G. scored the equalizer, his first goal in his official debut.
Our players kept looking for the winning goal, but there was not enough time and it didn’t come and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
