Griezmann, Morata score as Atleti earn 2-0 home win over Celta

Our team earned a 2-0 win against Celta on Saturday, in a match in which Griezmann and Morata were the goalscorers.

Atleti earned a 2-0 win on Saturday at the Wanda Metropolitano against Celta. Griezmann and Morata got the goals.

We had several Academy players in our starting XI, such as Toni Moya and Montero, who paired at centre-back. The first big chance of the game came as we approached the 20th minute, when Oblak made two sensational saves in a row to deny the away side. Our team reacted well, regained possession and had a few chances to score. The goal finally came just before half-time, and it was a worldie. Griezmann scored a free-kick stunner to put us in the lead.

Simeone’s lads controlled the tempo of the game after the break. One hour into the game, our coach made the first substitution, as Morata came on for Vitolo. Some ten minutes later, Arias substituted Filipe Luis, and Atleti scored the second shortly thereafter. This time it was Morata who scored in style after a great through ball by Griezmann, and our team earned three more points and another clean sheet in LaLiga.
