With his goal against Chelsea in the Wanda Metropolitano’s European debut, Antoine Griezmann will go down in history. He scored the first ever LaLiga goal in the Wanda Metropolitano and made sure to do the same in the first ever Champions League match in the new stadium.
The Frenchman repeated what Luis Aragonés did in 1966, in the then Estadio del Manzanares. Aragonés scored against Valencia in LaLiga (1-1) and against Malmoe (3-1) in the European Cup.
