Griezmann has equalled Tomás Reñones as the fourth Rojiblanco player with the most appearances

Our all-time top goal-scorer sits just outside of a podium currently occupied by Koke, Adelardo and Oblak.

With his appearance this Tuesday against FC Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann reached his 483rd match defending our badge. This milestone sees him equal one of our Club legends, Tomás Reñones, as the fourth player in Atlético's history with the most matches in the Rojiblanco colours. The Galician right-back, current Team Manager of the first team, won one LaLiga, four Copas del Rey and one Supercopa de España throughout a long career with Atlético, which lasted from 1983 to 1996.

Griezmann, our Number 7, also ranks as the highest goal-scorer in the Club's history with 210 goals, putting him ahead of Luis Aragonés who scored 173. The Frenchman came to Atlético in the summer of 2014 from Real Sociedad, making his official debut on 19 August of that same year in a Supercopa de España match against Real Madrid, and scoring his first goal on 16 September against Olympiacos.

Over the course of ten seasons, Griezmann has gifted us with unforgettable memories, lifting three trophies with our Club: the Supercopa de España in 2014 and both the Europa League and Supercopa de Europa in 2018.

Congratulations, Grizi!
