HE HAS SCORED 137 GOALS

Griezmann becomes fourth highest scorer in Atleti history

The Frenchman scored against Levante and surpassed Gárate to become fourth in our all-time goalscorer list.

Antoine Griezmann has become fourth in Atleti’s all-time goalscorer list. The Frenchman scored against Levante on Thursday to bring his tally to 137 – thus surpassing club legend José Eulogio Gárate.

Our number 8 netted his first goal for our club on Sep. 16, 2014 against Olympiakos. Since then, he has scored several very important goals, such as the first one ever at the Wanda Metropolitano against Málaga, his two strikes against Olympique Marseille in the 2018 Europa League final, his hat-tricks against Athletic Club and Sevilla, and his four goals against Leganés on Feb. 28, 2018. All these goals will go down in Atleti history.

Ahead of him remain Luis Aragonés (172 goals), Escudero (169) and Campos (146).

Congratulations, Antoine!
