Godin: 'We’re looking to put in a good performance against Udinese in front of our fans
'It's good be closer to the fans, they are more with us and we are together'
Diego Godin was asked to address the media at the press conference after training on Tuesday at the Sports City. The Uruguayan is still one of the regulars in the rojiblancos and spoke of, among other things, the importance of Thursday's game and the support the fans have provided.
Sunday's win against Zaragoza has served as a boost to the team. 'We came from a poor run of not winning and scoring goals. We won on Sunday and hope to continue the good run and then the results will continue to pick up. On Thursday we have a difficult game and we hope to put in a good performance for our fans and of course to win' he said.
On a personal level, Godin is, of course, 'Happy, players always like to play and have the confidence of the boss. I'm happy.'
He made it clear that the players are united and have to continue working well. 'People get together and we cannot do anything against that. We have to keep working and doing what the boss wants. We are dedicated to play and give everything for the club, as we do in every game.'
