Godín: "The match-by-match is still good for us"
The Uruguayan acknowledged before the media they work to get in the best possible shape to the double duel of the Spanish Super Cup.
One of the team’s captains analysed Atlético’s current news at the conclusion of the training. Diego Godín wanted to stress that they are preparing for the first objective of the season, the Spanish Super Cup, and believes that they will face the double confrontation in the best possible way. "We’re still preparing and getting in shape. We still have to keep working to improve and feel good. We will try to get there in the best way, convinced that we will be 100% at the time. We will give our all and try to win", he said.
Now for the Super Cup. Then we’ll go step by step
For the Uruguayan, the team’s philosophy is non-negotiable and that is why they’ll continue in the same line. "The match-by-match is still good for us. It’s part of the training. We focus on what’s closest in time. Now we are preparing for the Spanish Super Cup as our main objective. It’s what we have now and then we'll go step by step. We’re not going to change anything. We’re going to compete against big teams and we’ll try to do everything we can to win the matches, although we know it will be difficult", he stressed.
Lastly, the third captain pointed out that both the fans and the Club have made him feel loved, enabling him to do his job well. "I’ve always felt important, very loved in the Club and that helps you to deliver and give your all on the field for the sake of the team and with the help of the fans", he concluded.
