Gabi, candidate for 'Best Midfielder of the 2013-14 League'
He joins the candidacies of Miranda, Filipe Luis and Thibaut Courtois for the Gala organized by the Professional Football League (LFP) on Monday, October 27.
The Professional Football League (LFP) has made public the three candidates for best midfielder of the 2013-14 League Championship this Wednesday. Our captain, Gabriel Fernández, is one of the finalists. The home-grown player, anchor and lung of the red and white midfield, made an outstanding season, and the LFP has now decided to value his spectacular performance with this nomination.
The player of FC Barcelona Sergio Busquets and Madrid’s Luka Modric will compete along with Gabi for the award of "Best midfielder of the 2013-14 League", which will be presented at the LFP Gala on October 27th.
This nomination joins those of Thibaut Courtois, Miranda and Filipe Luis who will fight for the award of Best Goalkeeper – for the first - and Best Defenders of the last season’s League Championship in the case of the two Brazilians.
