Gabi and villa injured
The captain suffered a sprained left knee and will be tested on Monday. The Spaniard will miss the national team game after a relapse of arthritis in the ankle .
The match against Celtic ended in victory and three points, but also increased the number of players in the infirmary. Added to Adrian who’ underwent surgery for a fractured cheekbone and Raul Garcia in the process of recovering from a sprained knee, are Captain Gabi and David Villa.
Villa left the pitch after 58 minutes due to arthritis in the left ankle. Gabi also left the pitch early with a sore knee with just over five minutes remaining. The captain was replaced by French midfielder Guilavogui. This Monday they will undergo further medical tests.
