Filipe Luis defends our colours for the 300th time
On Saturday’s match against Getafe, Filipe Luis played his 300th match for our club, in all competitions.
Filipe Luis is making Atlético history. On LaLiga matchday 36 he made a well expected return to our side, following his fibula injury that left him on the sidelines for nearly two months. And during tonight’s win against Getafe, he played his 300th match for Atlético de Madrid.
The Brazilian originally joined our team in 2010 and after a brief stint at Chelsea, rejoined our squad in 2015. He made his debut in our league match against Zaragoza on 26 September, 2010.
Filipe has defended our colours in the league on 212 occasions, 36 in the Champions League, 25 in the Copa del Rey, 24 in the Europa League, 2 in the Spanish Super Cup and once in the Spanish Super Cup.
