Atleti earned an important 1-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday as we returned to LaLiga action following the international break. Felipe scored our goal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Our team started the game well – attacking the visitors mainly down Lemar and Carrasco’s left wing. Griezmann had a couple of early chances. The first was a header that flew over the crossbar and the second a left-foot strike that was inches wide of the post. Hermoso also attempted multiple crosses throughout the opening 45’. Oblak was also forced to make one good save in the first half to deny a long-distance shot. Despite the chances, we reached half-time with the score at 0-0.

Atleti attacked constantly in the opening minutes of the second half. We even had a Griezmann goal disallowed due to an offside position from Correa. Simeone moved things around in the 56th minute, when De Paul and Suárez came on for Lemar and Correa. Our coach made another double change some 10’ later. This time, Kondogbia and Cunha replaced Llorente and Griezmann. Simeone made one last change in the 85th minute as Vrsaljko made way for Carlos Martín – who made his first team debut. We kept pushing and finally found our goal with just a couple of minutes to go. Felipe headed home a Carrasco cross from the left corner to send the Wanda Metropolitano into delirium and earn us an important 1-0 win.
