ERGO Group – DKV Seguros joins the Rojiblanco family
The insurance company will sponsor both our men's and women's first teams and will enjoy brand visibility across the club's digital channels, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, the Alcalá de Henares Training Ground and the future Sports City.
ERGO Group AG – the parent company of DKV – and Atlético de Madrid have signed an agreement under which the insurance company becomes an official partner of both the club's men's and women's first teams.
As part of the agreement, the ERGO Group brand will feature on the shorts worn by both teams in matches and training. The partnership also includes a range of future branding and commercial activation opportunities across the club's digital channels, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, the Alcalá de Henares Training Ground and the future Sports City. In addition, the sponsorship will strengthen ERGO's positioning as a stronger and more recognisable global brand while supporting DKV's rebranding process in the Spanish market.
“Through our partnership with Atlético de Madrid, we are accelerating the rollout of our roadmap in Spain and setting the course to fully realise our growth potential,” said Mark Klein, Chief Digital Officer and Member of the Management Board of ERGO Group AG, responsible for Digitalisation, Marketing and Global Partnerships. He added: “Spain is a key market for the Group, and these initiatives will play an important role in sustainably strengthening our visibility among customers, partners and the wider public, supporting our business ambitions. They also perfectly reflect our objective of continuing to strengthen our international profile as part of our new strategic plan.”
Fernando Campos, CEO of DKV in Spain, commented: “This partnership is a strategic lever to raise awareness of the ERGO brand in Spain, accelerate our rebranding process and demonstrate what it means to be part of an international group capable of competing at the highest level. Atlético de Madrid shares a powerful belief with us: achieving great things requires ambition, determination and trust. This is precisely what this agreement represents and what we want to show in this new stage: growing with greater strength, increasing our reach and consolidating a position of leadership based on perseverance and constant work”.
Óscar Mayo, Chief Revenue and Operations Officer of Atlético de Madrid, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our commitment to the health and wellbeing of all our athletes and supporters alongside a company that is a benchmark in its sector and holds itself to the highest standards of quality. The national and international growth of ERGO and DKV Seguros is fully aligned with our values and our ambitions for growth, proximity and excellence in customer care, and we are thrilled to welcome ERGO | DKV to the Rojiblanco family.”
