Emirates Stadium awaits

Along with our 115th birthday, the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final against Arsenal is here. At 9:05 p.m. CET, we'll face the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

This will be the first time we face Arsenal in an official match and a spot in the Europa League final in Lyon is on the line. Both teams will give it all in the Emirates, but everything won't be decided in London, as the return leg at the Wanda Metropolitano will be just a week later.

Arsène Wenger recently announced he will step down as Arsenal manager at the end of the season, after a massively impressive 22 year reign at the club. This will surely motivate the Arsenal players to give it their 200 percent against our side.

Diego Pablo Simeone stated he greatly respects Wenger and expects the match at the Emirates to be chippy and intense for both sides.

"We're going to face a tough team. Arsenal have an important history in Europe," he said. "Both clubs want to play the final."
