Don Enrique Cerez: “The team is in good hands with Manzano & Caminero
Both are working hard to build a good team
Club Atlético de Madrid president Don Enrique Cerezo addressed the press in the Ritz Hotel where he had gone to receive the ‘Outstanding Madrileño of the Year’ awarded to the ‘colchonera’ club. The ‘rojiblanco’ leader gave his opinion on the current state of the club and encouraged the supporters to have faith in the good work of Gregorio Manzano & José Luis Pérez Caminero, the manager and director of football of the team, who’re working to build a strong squad.
When asked about the offers received from Galatasaray, the president explained that “Forlán has had a good offer and it’s up to him to decide”. At the same time he guaranteed that José Antonio Reyes will still be playing in the Vicente Calderón next season. Regarding Sergio Agüero, he stated that the argentine “is preparing for the Copa America and is still an Atlético de Madrid player”.
“The supporters need to stay calm and support the team like they always do because it’s in good hands. We got a good manager and a good director of football to build a strong squad. The plan at Atlético de Madrid is to build a strong team and with that in mind we’ve brought in good professionals”, concluded the ‘rojiblanco’ leader
