Diego Pablo Simeone equals Luis Aragonés’ trophy haul
Following our Europa League glory on this Wednesday 16 May against Olympique de Marseille, our boss won his sixth title as Atlético manager.
For the sixth time as our manager, Diego Pablo Simeone has led our side to a trophy and has equalled Luis Aragonés’ haul.
As our boss, Simeone has won two Europa Leagues, one UEFA Super Cup, one Copa del Rey, one LaLiga and one Spanish Super Cup. He took over our side back in late 2012 and has since then become our winningest manager.
On the other hand, Aragonés led our side to one LaLiga, three Copas del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup.
Both managers are the most successful we've ever had in our club's history. ¡Grandes!
