Diego Costa sealed the seventh consecutive win for Atletico

Diego Costa scored the goal and scored that turned out to be the winning for Atletico Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu.

 Atletico Madrid gave a footballing lesson at the Bernabeu and took three points that are worth their weight in gold. It is the seventh consecutive victory making it the best start in the history of the club. Diego Costa 's goal in the 10th minute was enough to win the game.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid took to the field ready to put on a good show. The whites were looking for a win in front of their own fans against an Atletico side who had a two point advantage over them in the league

In the opening stages, the Whites had a lot of the ball but couldn’t break down the visitors. Then in the tenth minute, the Koke - Diego Costa cone3ction was in full effect. Filipe won the ball from Angel Di Maria and laid I off to Koke, the youngest slipped in the Brazilian who finished with class in a one on one with Diego Lopez.

Just the start that the visitors wanted and they kept the home side at bay until the 22nd minute when a header from Benzema forced a good save out of Courtois who put it behind for a corner.

From set pieces came another opportunity for Atletico, straight from the training ground when Koke swung in a corner and Tiago 's unopposed header went just over the bar . Later, in the 37th minute, a pass from Diego Costa set up Turan but the Turkish midfield shot wide.

After the break, the script of the game remained the same, Atlético were very well organised and hard working. Ancelotti made two changes at the break, bringing on Bale and Modric for Illarramendi by Di Maria. The Italian was looking to boost his team and the Welshman had a shot not long after coming on, while Croatian provided more movement in midfield.

In the 60th minute Atletico had another great chance, David Villa played in Diego Costa but his shot was cleared by Diego Lopez and the rebound fell to Gabi ho was quicly closed down.

In the final stages Morata came on and as the home side looked for an equaliser, but the Belgian goalkeeper stopped everything thrown at him. In the end a just and deserved win that see’s Atletico Madrid continue with their 100% record joint top in the league with Barcelona five points ahead of Real Madrid.
