Costa’s superb strike in the 49thh second at the Lilleküla Stadium will go down in history.

Diego Costa scored after just 49 seconds in the UEFA Super Cup at the Lilleküla Stadium, the fastest in UEFA Super Cup history.

Costa rid himself from his Real Madrid markers and sent a strong shot from a tight angle to score the first goal of the night. He later scored his second of the night in the 79th minute.

In fact, Costa’s goal is the fastest in any European final. It surpassed Paolo Maldini’s goal after just 51 seconds in the Champions League final in 2005.
