Defeat at the Dragão
The Rojiblancos were beaten in their first outing of pre-season in friendly to pay tribute to the late Diogo Jota and André Silva.
The Rojiblancos recorded a narrow 1-0 defeat to FC Porto in their first outing of pre-season. A lone Froholdt goal in added time in the first half decided the match, which was a tribute to the late Diogo Jota, who played for both sides, and his brother, André Silva. The event also saw homage paid to other former players who turned out for both clubs in their careers: Cristián 'Cebolla' Rodríguez, Felipe Augusto, Maniche, Costinha, Radamel Falcao and Paulo Futre – the latter two took the honorary kick-off.
