MAXIMUM CAUTION TO AVOID TAKING RISKS

Cunha to miss group training as a precaution

The Brazilian will follow a progressive and individualised rehabilitation plan.

Matheus Cunha suffered muscle problems during the Tokyo Olympics that prevented him from playing in the tournament’s semi-finals, although he did eventually play in the final. The Brazilian striker also played on the opening Bundesliga match day with his former club Hertha BSC. However, during the medical examination prior to him joining our club, radiological tests detected a muscle injury that is not yet fully recovered.

Although the player does not feel any discomfort and wants to take part in training with the group, the club's medical services have decided to act with caution and not take any risks that could cause a relapse. For this reason, the player will not train with his teammates over the next few days and will follow a progressive and individualised rehabilitation plan.

The club's medical services have informed those of the Brazilian Federation, requesting the utmost caution against the risk of a possible relapse.
