Cristian Rodriguez: "We were better"
The Uruguayan regrets being unable to find the goal to have sealed the victory and return to Madrid with three points.
Cristian Rodriguez started in the match against Malaga and had this to say about the game "We were better. We played a lot more in their half, we had more chances we just missed the goal to leave totally satisfied" he summarised after an important clash against a close rival. "It was a direct rival for the Champions League. We know the quality they have and we're excited about the work we are doing. It was a game of two big teams" he said.
The rojiblancos did not show fatigue after Wednesday's clash against Sevilla and totally took the control of the game. "We knew what we were playing for so there was no possible fatigue. The squad will continue to go match by match. We have a long week to recover and work," said Cristian.It was a game of two big teams
Starting on the right, the Uruguayan had a good game despite not playing in his natural position. "I felt good. Its not easy to play a game after being used to 15 or 20 minutes off the bench but we are training to be in shape and the coach can count on me. It took a while because it was my first game on the right but I got used to it," he said.
