In the first leg, we beat Lleida 0-4 thanks to Diego Godin, Fernando Torres, Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann's goals. Despite the final result, Lleida played well and had a few good chances in the first half. After the match, Diego Pablo Simeone recognized how well the Catalan side played.
"Lleida had a great first half and started off strongly, but we reacted well and adapted our play,” he said.
For the return leg, Simeone expects Lleida to play with the same intensity and put up a good fight in the Wanda Metropolitano.
"We need to play well and the players need to show they’re ready for anything."
