Cívitas Metropolitano is born
Our president, Enrique Cerezo, announced the new name of the stadium.
Our president announced at the event that Cívitas will become the club's new main Sustainability sponsor for the next 10 seasons and announced the new name of the stadium, as part of the agreement. "As a great symbol of this alliance, it's an honour to pronounce for the first time what will become the official name of this great stadium: Cívitas Metropolitano," he said.
Alejandro Ayala, president of Cívitas, highlighted the values that represent this new union: "Atleti and its fans have always been characterised by values such as the spirit of self-improvement, teamwork, loyalty and perseverance".
An alliance that will also be at the service of the new 'Ciudad del Deporte': "We are going to work together with the club to add the values of sustainability, energy management and environmental health that we champion to the great project of the Cívitas Metropolitano environment", Ayala pointed out.
