Capital derby in search of the Spanish Super Cup final

Our team will face Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh on Wednesday 10 January at 8pm.

A great match between eternal rivals on Wednesday at 8pm in the first semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup to be played in Saudi Arabia. The first Madrid derby of 2024 will precede the league clash on 4 February at the Santiago Bernabéu.

For both teams it means fighting for the first title of the new calendar year. The last time we were proclaimed champions of this trophy was in 2014, precisely after beating Real Madrid in the final by 2-1 (at that time over two legs: 1-1 at the Bernabéu and 1-0 in the second leg at the Vicente Calderon).

We arrive after the victory against Lugo (1-3) that allowed us to reach the Round of16 of the Copa del Rey. We will be looking for a second consecutive victory. They, for their part, also reached the last 16 of the Copa del Rey after their 1-3 win against Arandina, which was their fifth consecutive victory.

A positive dynamic that we can break if we win, as we did in the last meeting between Atleti and Real Madrid (3-1) at the Cívitas Metropolitano on 24 September 2023.
