This Thursday 29 February, from 9:30pm CET, we will play the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals in Bilbao.
The second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals has arrived. Our team will be looking to turn the tie around after the 0-1 defeat at the Cívitas Metropolitano on 7 February, with a goal from Berenguer.
Our team come into this game after drawing against Almeria in LaLiga last Saturday at the Power Horse Stadium. Athletic Club, meanwhile, lost against Real Betis in their last LaLiga match.
Our team began its journey in this edition of the tournament by taking on Lugo. In the next round, we faced Real Madrid in a passionate derby at home, where Lino, Morata, Griezmann and Riquelme sealed our passage to the quarter-finals. Once again the Cívitas Metropolitano would host a Copa del Rey match, this time against Sevilla. A late goal from Memphis would allow us to reach the semi-finals.
Ernesto Valverde's side, in this competition, have beaten Eibar (0-3), Alavés (2-0) and FC Barcelona (4-2) in the previous rounds.
In the last 20 meetings between both teams, half of the matches have gone in Simeone's side's favour, with six games going in the Basque side's favour and four draws.
