Atletico players unhappy with the draw

Reyes: 'Congratulations to their goalkeeper, he has saved his team'

The Atletico Madrid players were unhappy with the draw against Sevilla. Everyone agreed that Javi Varas was the key to the game as he pulled of two top class saves to keep Atletico at bay. They noted that good team played well, even though they were not able to score a goal against Sevilla and also that there were too many stoppages in the game.   Jose Antonio Reyes was one of the players who appeared before the media. The midfielder said 'It was a crazy game but it was a pity. We had chances to score a goal, but did not. They must thank their goalkeeper, who has been phenomenal. We're a little upset about that because we had the chances, the ball, but we couldn’t stick it in the net, which is what we wanted. The important thing is we're creating chances. The goal has not come in recent games but we must continue working with the same mentality. I would also like to send greetings to Pedro, a guy on our Cadet A has had to undergo surgery for a fractured cheekbone. We wish him a speedy recovery. '   Thibaut Courtois had a good match. He didn’t have too much work, but saved a couple of good efforts. The Belgian said after the game that 'it was a good match for us, with many opportunities but we did not reach the goal. I'm a little disappointed because we could have won. We had no luck. The good thing is that we end up with our clean sheet after conceding five goals in Barcelona and that's positive. But I'm disappointed not to have won.'
