The Royal Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee has sanctioned Atlético de Madrid central midfielder Mario Suárez with a one-match ban for accumulation of yellow cards.

Additionally, it has rejected the appeal filed by the ‘rojiblanco’ organization regarding the red card received by Diego Godín against Valencia. Therefore, the Uruguayan centre-half has also been hit with a one-game suspension. The Club will not appeal this ruling before the Appeals Committee.

Both players will sit out their suspensions in the upcoming league fixture against Real Zaragoza.
