The Vicente Calderón Stadium will change it's look again this summer. After hosting five of the best shows in Madrid throughout June and July, the Atlético stadium turns to prepare for its opening game on the 28th of July in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Stromsgodse. After the concert by The Black Eyed Peas' on Thursday the 14th of July, the Club started last Saturday to re-lay the pitch. During the coming days they are working hard to ensure that the green is in perfect condistion to for the match against the Norwegians. Before putting the new sod, they first had to remove the soil to the drainage, so that new turf will grip well. In addition, it will level the playing field by laser, so Gregorio Manzanos team can enjoy a field in excellent condition for playing football on next season.
