Atlético de Madrid work for an hour-and-a-half in Majadahonda
Hermosa was the reserve squad representative
Atlético de Madrid is making progress as they fine tune the final points in their preparation for this Sunday’s match against Real Sociedad. The ‘rojiblancos’ know that they need the victory if they want to keep their European competitions hopes alive and for this reason trained intensely over the course of the 90 minutes they were on the pitch. Hermosa, reserve squad outside midfielder, was the representative from the reserve squad in the session.
The captain of the team, Antonio López, continued to recover from his knee sprain and did alternative work apart from the group with the physical therapist/trainer, Óscar Pitillas. He began the day in the gym at the Majadahonda facilities and then took a dip in the pool to continue with rehabilitation exercises.
The practice got started with some ball possession drills. Subsequently, they played a small-sided game. After this part of the session, Quique Sanchez Flores worked on finishing with crosses from the wings. To wrap things up, they played a 7-on-7 practice match with goalkeepers on a small field.
