Atlético de Madrid, Plus500 renew sponsorship agreement until 2022

Atlético de Madrid and the multinational firm, market leader in the provision of contracts for difference (CFDs), renew their alliance for another season, making Plus500 the club's main sponsor for the sixth consecutive year.

Plus500 will continue as Atletico de Madrid's main sponsor for another season. The multinational firm – market leader in the provision of contracts for difference (CFDs) – and our club have reached an agreement to extend one more season the relationship that has united both parties since June 2015. The company’s logo will continue to be displayed on the front of the first team's shirt for the sixth consecutive season.

Plus500’s Chief Executive Officer David Zruia spoke positively about the agreement.

"We are thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership with Atlético de Madrid, which has been highly successful to date in supporting our international brand recognition. In 2020, the relationship has remained stable and robust, in the face of what has been a turbulent and challenging period. We look forward to continuing to support the club through the 2021/22 season,” Zruia said.

Atlético de Madrid CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín thanked Plus500 for renewing their confidence in the club.

“We are really keen with our Plus500 main sponsorship extension through the 2021/22 season. After five seasons together, we have built a true partnership that has proven its strength over the last hard months. We have always felt the passion and support of our main partner and this extension is a natural consequence of the close work together,” our CEO said.

The relationship between both parties started in early 2015, when Plus500 became one of Atletico de Madrid's sponsors and its logo was first displayed on the back of our shirt in the Copa del Rey last 16 match against Real Madrid at the Vicente Calderón. Subsequently, the multinational firm became the club's main sponsor, and has been so for three seasons. With the new agreement, our strategic partnership will run until June 2022.
