Atlético de Madrid begin to prepare for their La Liga match against Espanyol
Almost two hours of work in Majadahonda in an evening session
The Atlético de Madrid first squad began to prepare for this Saturday’s match against Espanyol with an evening session which lasted almost two hours. To begin, the goalkeepers did specific work with Emilio Álvarez, the goalkeeping coach, while the rest of the group had a lifting session in the gym for half-an-hour.
Afterwards, all of them did an aerobic warm-up and then moved into shots on goal. The team did an attacking/defending drill with finishing and wrapped up the training with a practice match on a small pitch.
On the other hand, Borja González, who has been given medical clearance, worked out with Oscar Pitillas, the physical trainer/therapist, thus getting started on getting back into shape.
