Atlético de Madrid begin to prepare for the match against Getafe
Four representatives from the junior academy train with the first squad
Atlético de Madrid returned to training after the draw on Saturday night against Sevilla. Getafe await on Wednesday evening and there’s no time to lose, so the ‘rojiblancos’ got down to work in preparation for that fixture.
After a chat of several minutes in the dressing room during which they broke down Saturday’s match against Sevilla, the players took the pitch and trained for around 90 minutes. Those who were starters against the side from Andalusia did alternative work in the gym. The rest of the team members hit the practice fields.
Participating in the session with the first team were reserve squad players Hermosa, Vitor, Gallegos and Hueto. After beginning the session with strength exercises, the players completed technical-tactical work. To finish, they played a small-sided six-on-six game with goalkeepers on each side.
The ‘rojiblanco’ team will get back to training on Monday morning at 11 am.
