Atlético de Madrid achieves gold category in the GSBS 2025 rating
We have been recognized with the maximum rank in the prestigious international GSBS 2025 rating, which measures the development and contribution of sports organizations in terms of sustainability.
Atlético de Madrid has reached a new milestone in its commitment to sustainability by being recognized with the gold category in the latest edition of the Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sports (GSBS) 2025. This international sustainability rating, which assesses the development of the sports industry in terms of impact and contribution to a more sustainable future, has awarded our club a score of 80 points, with special mention to our impact in corporate and social terms. This score represents a significant improvement compared to the previous edition, where we obtained 78 points and the silver category.
Thanks to our sustainability strategy and its execution, we are positioned fifth in the GSBS 2025 overall classification, which includes all types of sports organizations. Furthermore, we maintain our position as the third best-rated football club in the ranking, as well as the highest-ranked non-listed football club.
The GSBS 2025 study has been based on the analysis of more than 1,700 data points, covering 78 sports organizations from 11 different countries, and is founded on internationally recognized standards. This achievement reinforces our club's firm strategy and commitment to integrating sustainability and corporate responsibility criteria into all our areas of activity, making them an indispensable part of the rojiblanco DNA.
