We are about to find out who Atleti will face in the 2019/20 Champions League group stage. The draw is to take place at Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum on Thursday at 6 pm CET.
Our team will be in Pot 2 this year, and we won’t be facing any other Spanish sides in the group stage. The competition will kick off on Sep. 17-18, and the group stage will carry on until Dec. 10-11. The Champions League final is to be played at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium on May 30, 2020.
Here are the pots for Thursday’s draw:
- Pot 1: Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG and Zenit.
- Pot 2: Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, SSC Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk, Tottenham Hotspur, Benfica and Ajax.
- Pot 3: Olympique Lyonnais, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Red Bull Salzburg, Club Brugge, Valencia, FC Internazionale Milano, Olympiacos and GNK Dinamo Zagreb.
