Atleti to face a tough Villarreal

At 6:30 p.m. CET, our side will face Villarreal in the Estadio de la Cerámica.

After Thursday's thrilling win against Lokomotiv Moscow, our lads are back at it and ready to face Villarreal. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. CET in the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Villarreal are in 6th place with 44 points, just one point from Sevilla. They won their last match against Las Palmas, but before that fell at home against Girona. The Yellow Submarine has had a less than regular second half of the season and in the last six matches, they've won just twice.

However in the past couple of years, they've been a strong team in the league and have always presented a challenge. In the first half of the season, we tied 1-1 against them in the Wanda Metropolitano.

Diego Pablo Simeone expects a tough match and is hoping our team seizes control of the game.

"Villarreal play good football and are tough at home," he said. "They have great offensive players."
