Atleti earned a fantastic home win on Saturday thanks to a 4-0 win over Cádiz at the Wanda Metropolitano. Joao Félix netted a brace, whereas Llorente and Suárez were also on the scoresheet.

The start couldn’t have been any better as the Portuguese put us in front early on. Llorente provided the assist. We attacked throughout the first half, always on the ball and pressing high. It didn’t take long for the Spanish midfielder to double our lead. Just 22’ into the game, our number 14 netted our second goal of the night with a right-foot shot from inside the box. Simeone’s men kept pushing, but were unable to score for the third time in the opening 45’.

We did after the break, though, as Luis Suárez finished in style following a perfect through ball from Joao Félix. Correa and Torreira came on for Llorente and Herrera in the following minutes, during which Oblak was forced to make one good save, but Atleti never stopped dominating possession. With 20’ to go, Kondogbia made his debut as he came on for Suárez. Koke also made way for Torreira. Simeone’s men controlled the game until the end and scored the fourth in stoppage time, once again through Joao Félix, to pick up three important points ahead of the international break.
