Atleti make epic comeback to beat Eibar

Atleti earned an epic 3-2 comeback win over Eibar at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday. Joao Félix, Vitolo and Thomas Partey – at the last breath – got the goals.
The away team took the lead right away through Charles, who headed the ball in following a cross from the right flank. Zabala doubled Eibar’s lead when a Zabala shot from outside the box was deflected into the back of the net. Our team reacted well, though, and Joao Félix pulled one back some ten minutes later following an assist from Diego Costa. We had a few more chances before the break, but we ultimately reached half-time with the score at 2-1.
Atleti kept pushing in the second half, and we found the equaliser through Vitolo – who had come on for Llorente at half-time – some five minutes after the break. The Spaniard finished in style following a fantastic assist from Lodi. A few minutes later, Diego Costa had a goal disallowed after a VAR review. Riquelme came on 15 minutes before the end and almost scored with his first touch of the ball. Diego Costa had another goal disallowed following a VAR review a few minutes before the end. But Atlético de Madrid never stops believing, and in the 90th minute Thomas Partey – who had come on moments earlier – put us in the lead to secure an epic comeback and the third win in three LaLiga matches.
