Atleti lost 1-0 at Sevilla on Sunday in a frustrating evening in LaLiga.

The hosts’ intensity made things difficult for us from the very beginning. In fact, they were awarded an early penalty as Saúl tripped Rakitic inside the box. Ocampos stepped up to take it… and Oblak pulled off a wonderful save to save his second penalty in two games. Lemar – one of our best performers in the game – was the first to test Bono, but the goalkeeper held his ground. Simeone made a change in the first half to contain Sevilla – bringing Correa on for Lodi. Neither side were close to taking the lead before the break.

Suárez was close to scoring in the opening moments of the second half following a delivery from Correa. The game was very even in the second 45’. In fact, we had another chance through Koke not long after the hour mark, but Bono saved it. Unfortunately, the hosts took the lead through Acuña after a fantastic play from Jesús Navas. Although the goal was preceded by an Ocampos handball, it wasn’t disallowed. Simeone responded by taking off Hermoso and Lemar and brought on Kondogbia and Herrera. We pushed until the end but the match ultimately ended 1-0 in Seville.
