CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE MATCHDAY 5

Atleti look to qualify for the Champions League Last 16

Our team faces AS Monaco at the Wanda Metropolitano looking to qualify for the European competition's Last 16.

The Champions League once again returns to the Wanda Metropolitano, where our team is to face AS Monaco on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6.55 p.m. CET. We will be looking to qualify for the competition's Last 16.

Our team arrives to the third and final group stage home game following wins against Club Brugge (3-1) and Borussia Dortmund (2-0), which added to the 2-1 win in Monaco leaves Atleti with nine points. Simeone's team will qualify for the Last 16 if they earn a win.

AS Monaco sit fourth in Group A with one point, which they earned against Club Brugge away from home. Thierry Henry's side are 19th in the French Ligue 1 with ten points following their win against Caen, having scored 13 goals and conceded 22. Former Atleti player Radamel Falcao is the club's top scorer with five goals, while Grandsir and Sylla are their top scorers in the Champions League with one goal each.
