The first leg in the Wanda Metropolitano ended 2-0, with Koke and Antoine Griezmann scoring our goals. It was an intense match and both sides had good goalscoring opportunities. Both Jan Oblak and Rui Patrício had excellent showings and made great saves.
After their defeat in the Wanda Metropolitano, Sporting CP bounced back in the Portuguese league and beat Paços Ferreira 2-0.
The match in the José Alvalade will be a tough one and the semifinals of the Europa League are on the line. Diego Pablo Simeone expects a difficult match in Lisbon, but is confident the group will do everything to qualify for the semis.
"They're a very competitive team. They suffered an early goal in the Wanda Metropolitano and in the end of the match, they had chances to score," he said. "It'll be a tough and intense match."
