Atleti look to keep positive streak going at demanding Anoeta
Our team travels to Anoeta to face Real Sociedad after earning three wins in a row (against Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal in LaLiga and Juventus in the Champions League).
Atleti faces a tough visit to Anoeta on LaLiga Matchday 26. The game is to be played on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. CET.
Real Sociedad have improved greatly since Imanol Alguacil took over as their coach. In fact, the Basque side haven't lost any of their last eight matches, earning four wins and four draws in that period. Over the season, Real Sociedad have registered four wins, four draws and four defeats in their 12 home games. However, since their new coach arrived, they've won three games (against Leganés, Athletic Club and Espanyol), drawn one (against Huesca) and lost one (against Alavés).
On the other hand, Atleti wants to increase its three-game winning streak following our successes against Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal in LaLiga and Juventus in the Champions League. Moreover, our team kept clean sheets in all three of those matches. In our last game, in which we beat Villarreal 2-0, Álvaro Morata opened his goalscoring account as an Atleti player.
In our previous LaLiga encounter between both sides, our team beat Real Sociedad 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano thanks to goals from Godín and Filipe Luis.
