MATCH PREVIEW | EIBAR - ATLÉTICO DE MADRID

Atleti look to continue Ipurua winning streak

Our team faces the Basque side at a stadium in which we’ve won our last four league games. The match is to be played on Saturday at 4.15 p.m. CET.

Atleti faces Eibar on Saturday at 4.15 p.m. CET on LaLiga Matchday 33.

Following last weekend’s home win over Celta, Simeone’s team travels to Ipurua, where we’ve won our last four LaLiga games and kept clean sheets in the last three.

An excellent streak that we hope to extend against a very tough side that holds the third best home goalscoring record (28 goals, 11 of which have been scored by Charles). On the other hand, our team holds the best defensive record in the competition, having conceded 21 goals and keeping 18 clean sheets so far.

Eibar currently sit in a comfortable position in the LaLiga standings. They’re eight points above the relegation zone and have almost secured another season in the top flight of Spanish football, which would be their sixth straight year in the Primera División. Since they achieved promotion ahead of the 2014-15 season, the Basque club have never been relegated and have only lost 35% of their games at Ipurua. In fact, this season they boast a fantastic record at their stadium against Madrid teams, as they drew against Getafe and beat Real Madrid, Leganés and Rayo Vallecano.
