Atleti and LaLiga return to the Wanda Metropolitano! Our team gears up to face Valladolid at 10 pm CET on Saturday, in what will be the first game played at our stadium after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Simeone’s men earned a resounding 5-0 win at Osasuna on Wednesday, which meant that Atleti have picked up four out of a possible six points since the resumption of LaLiga. It also stretched our streak to seven games unbeaten. We’re currently fourth in the league standings with 49 points, and we’ll look to earn another win that bring us closer to our goal: qualifying for the Champions League.
Valladolid have resumed LaLiga in style, having picked up four of the six points at stake against rivals Leganés and Celta. Those results mean that Sergio González’s side are now eight points above the relegation zone. They sit 15th in the league table with 33 points – 16 of which have been earned away from home.
