Our team arrives at the fixture in fourth place with 22 points – but having played one game less than several of our LaLiga opponents. In the previous fixture, we beat Betis 3-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano as Carrasco, Pezzella (own goal) and Joao Félix scored.
On the other hand, Valencia are currently 10th, having so far picked up 16 points in 12 games – one more than us. Bordalás’ side earned an important 2-0 win over Villarreal in the last match as Guillamón and Soler provided the goals.
Despite Mestalla being one of LaLiga’s toughest stadiums, Simeone’s men are unbeaten in the last six years and last season we won 1-0.
