MATCH PREVIEW | GETAFE – ATLÉTICO DE MADRID

Atleti face Getafe in last LaLiga derby of the season

The Coliseum Alfonso Pérez hosts our last league derby of the season on Thursday. Atleti take on Getafe at 9 pm CET.

Atleti gear up to face Getafe away on Thursday at 9 pm CET after having secured a Champions League spot for the upcoming season. The game at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez will be our last derby of the current edition of LaLiga.

Our team remain unbeaten in the last 16 matches and haven’t lost against Getafe in as many games. In fact, we kept clean sheets all 16 times, scoring 31 goals and drawing only two of those matches.

Bordalás’ side are sixth in the LaLiga standings and have only lost four games at home in the competition. If they qualify for the Europa League, it will be the fourth time they do so. Moreover, they have one of the deadliest attacking forces in Spain, since 26 out of their 43 goals have been netted by their strikers Jaime Mata, Ángel and Jorge Molina.

On the other hand, Morata is Atleti’s top scorer and he netted the winner in the reverse fixture, when we beat Getafe 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano in August.
