Atleti earned an important 3-0 win away from home on Saturday against Huesca.
The home side are strong at their stadium, and they were off to a good start. Inside the first 15 minutes they hit the post once and Oblak had to make a great save to deny a one on one. Lemar also was through on goal just moments later, but the Huesca keeper also saved it. It was our first big chance of the game. Griezmann also came close from scoring when his free-kick went just over the crossbar.
Our team was starting to play well as the fog descended on to the pitch inside the first half an hour. And just after the 30-minute mark was up, Atleti got the first goal. A fantastic team play between Lemar, Koke and Lucas Hernandez ended up with the ball in the back of the net. It was a great goal by the Frenchman to put us in the lead.
The first half ended with our one-goal lead, and Correa had a great chance just after the break. The Argentine made his way into the box, but his shot was saved by the Huesca keeper. We were unfortunate not to score, but shortly thereafter we managed to get the second through a magnificent goal by Arias. The Colombian received the ball inside the box and volleyed it into the back of the net. It was a fantastic goal and a fantastic start of the second half by our team.
After around 70 minutes, Atleti got the third goal of the night. This time it was Koke, in his 400th appearance for our team, who got the goal. He was subsequently substituted by Mollejo, who made his first team debut. Joaquín also played his first minutes with the first team when he came on for Lemar in the final minutes of the match. The score didn't change after that, and our team earned three important points away from home.
