Atleti earn 3-0 win against Alavés thanks to goals by Kalinic, Griezmann, Rodrigo

Our team earned a 3-0 win over Alavés on Saturday at the Wanda Metropolitano to keep the positive streak at our stadium going.

Atleti earned a 3-0 win over Alavés after a strong performance on Saturday at the Wanda Metropolitano. Kalinic, Griezmann and Rodrigo scored the goals to give our team three important points.

Our team enjoyed a good start to the game, dominating and lookoing to get the first goal from the off. Alavés, however, were strong defensively and left little space for our forwards. The only space left by the Basque side's defenders was usually on the flanks, and it was Arias who tried to attack that gap.

In fact, after 25 minutes an Arias cross was put into the back of the net by Kalinic. The Croat scored his second goal in two games and put us in the lead. It was an improtant goal, but the joy didn't last for too long, unfortunately, as Lucas Hernandez picked up an injury a few minutes later. The Frenchman was substituted by Giménez, who came on following his own injury of several weeks.

Atleti also started the second half strongly, with Giménez hitting the post in the first few minutes. During the rest of the game, our team worked hard to hold on to the lead, and in the last ten minutes we scored two more goals to end the game in a high. Griezmann, following a nice through ball by Vitolo, and Rodrigo were the goalscorers.

Overall it was a very strong performance from Simeone's side which allows us to earn three more points and continue the positive streak at the Wanda Metropolitano.
