Atleti earned an important LaLiga win on Sunday as we beat Valencia 3-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano. Joao Félix, Suárez and Correa got the goals to secure the comeback after an early goal from the visitors.

Our team had a couple of early chances through Joao Félix and Giménez, but the striker was just off target and Giménez was denied by a sensational save by the keeper. Unfortunately, the visitors took the lead 10’ into the game via an exceptional long-range strike from Racic. Simeone’s men reacted well and it didn’t take long for Joao Félix to equalise as he finished in style a cross from the corner flag. We didn’t stop there and Llorente was inches wide not long after from the edge of the box.

Simeone made his first change of the match at half-time as Lodi came on for Vrsaljko and Carrasco moved to the right. Atleti started the second half very strongly – and we promptly took the lead. Joao Félix set Suárez up and the Uruguayan applied a world-class finish to celebrate his birthday in style. Around one hour in, Joao Félix made way for Correa… and the Argentine wasted no time in making an impact. Some 70’ in, he put the ball in the back of the net following an assist from Llorente. The Spaniard was taken off after that – he was replaced by Kondogbia. Torreira came on for Lemar in the dying minutes of the game, which we went on to win 3-1 to secure a key LaLiga win.
